The Daily Observer: 10th July 2020

😎THE DAILY OBSERVER-37: 10 July 2020: 03:45😎

The tale of the donkey being let loose by the devil seems to have taken effect. No one responded to PK Sharma's post comparing Modi to Hitler. Not even after Sanjay Mishra pointedly referred to it. Much later,he  posted a video portraying Modi and Yogi Adityanath as ideal rulers and sure enough, S Murali could not resist the bait. He had to comment on Sanjay Mishra's apparent late realisation. A befitting reply ensued.Otherwise both these stalwarts have studiously avoided a clash for quite some time. Sanjay Mishra mentioned an article which said that China might actually win the war without fighting, while others felt war was imminent. Shiv started consulting astrological charts and gave his opinion. The topic meanwhile veered around to the Kanpur killings and aftermath which was prominent in the media. A video on Harminder Singh, Captain of the world's biggest Cargo ship, was posted by Nirbhye. S Murali posted a video giving tips on how to prevent fogging of glasses while wearing a mask immediately followed by one comparing Modi and Rahul.

Sukhi posted a story on Aditya Birla's management style while Sidhu posted a video giving 5 yuktis to avoid depression. There was much talk on how the cop-killer of Kanpur should be dealt with.Shiv turned the topic around to the Bhagalpur blindings case and he exchanged memories of the incident with Sanjay Mishra. Satish posted an interesting video on vanishing sculptures while Mishra on an interesting waterfall. SBT came up with a photo of neem fruit and went on to describe its benefits. Sanjay Anand made a guest appearance with a mysterious voice message.H Murali could not rest till he was told the botanical name of the neem fruit. Alfred wanted to know the answer to the puzzle posed yesterday by SBT. SBT informed that the thrower of the bucket of water in the video he had posted was the 75 year old neighbour of his brother-in-law. One really wonders at how the law and order situation in U.P. could be so bad with such vigilant and energetic senior citizens at every corner and a sanyasi CM on top. Sawant shared his opinion on exactly how the captured killer should be interrogated - i will spare you the graphic details. What not a stint with the police can do to a chap ! There came Ajay Deb and confidently identified the neem fruit as Mahua and went on to extol its virtues . SBT corrected him and he gracefully accepted, saying the two looked alike (Mahua and neem fruit ).Uttam Sarkar posted a video joke while Sawant posted one about the Parsi surgeon.Pawan Sheel and Umar correctly identified the neem fruit while Ajay Deb posted a video on the health benefits of Mahua. Naithani came up with the interesting observation that all the characters involved in the Kanpur incident were brahmins.PK Sharma posted a nice video joke on law and order. Sanjay Soi posted about an upcoming  Prows event this Sat on fb. JC Sharma posted an inspiring video showing how residents of his housing society complex in Himachal got together and worked for improving an approach road.

Pandit Tripathiji proclaimed how preventive measures against pandemic had been given by Sanatan Dharma 5000 years ago.RK Mishra posted two very important lists.

Wishing everyone  a happy Friday and a great weekend ahead!

😎THE DAILY OBSERVER-36: 09 July 2020: 03:02😎

Alfred and Saxi began the day with a couple of jokes and Nirbhye added 13 guidelines for group members which is a must-read for all. Satish added an interesting 14th guideline to it - do not try to reform anyone as all are in their sixties or thereabouts. This drew comments. Bharat Bhushan certified Arun Parasar as one who is "highly educated" and posted a video of an ITBP Covid Care Centre featuring Mandip Grewal's son. Matter of pride for the entire course. AK Roy Chaudhri posted two videos and Vidur posted a video of the Ram Setu. Alan Clarke posted a video debate of Hindi as an official language. Some banter on how to politely word the fact that oldies are resistant to change/reform followed between Luthra, Satish snd S Murali.

Sirohi seems to be the one person most affected by Navnit's ML in the morning and apologised profusely to Alfred. He went on to explain to Murali that change is possible at any time quoting an example easily understood by all of us - when whisky is not available, we make do with rum . He added a video of a lady in Marwari clothes singing an English number to futther prove his point. Sirohi expressed himself in a day more than he has ever done since this group started. In-between AK Roy Chaudhri brought out the matter of Southern states not paying due respect to Hindi, to which Murali agreed readily. Gurvi compared Alfie to Chitragupta and Murali concurred. But Alfie is not at all interested in accounts beyond DOB and WA. At the most he may ask if you have attended a Webinar.

Shiv posted a positivity message from fb. H Murali expressed happiness at the return of Alfie. Saxi posted the joke of the donkey and the devil - a must read for all. Sukhi posted a cocktail video and remarked about the serious Covid situation in Bangalore. Shiv posted a video about defence equipment about which Sanjay Mishra revealed that it was a very old development and that he had personally met Abdul Kalam in South Block in that regard in 1994. What a revelation ! No wonder he seems to know so much about the goings on in the corridors of power. Nirbhye posted some lovely pics of flowers in his garden.Shiv advised all to smile. Sawant posted a long video on Covid. Alfie started getting senti around midnight and posted a response to the messages he had received. PK Sharma fwd a number of photos showing a startling and disturbing resemblance between Modi and Hitler. Alfie posted a fwd of what would have happened in 1962 if Nehru had used the IAF. Topic carried over to the morning.

A happy Guruvar to all!
