The Daily Observer: 30th June 2020

😎THE DAILY OBSERVER-27: 30 June 2020 / 03:04😎

Sometimes, a stray remark is all it takes to unleash the Superman in us leading on to globe-changing consequences. Sanjay Soi felt the same last evening, when his neighbor asked him," aur Soi sahab,ye Corona kab band karwa rahe ho?" He felt so good on hearing this that he shared it with the group and found an appreciative audience in Sirohi, Tekan, Navnit,S Mishra and Saxena.

Hitech Murali joined in with the news that he was preparing Cherry pickle.Trust a Thambi to come up with something like that while in England. Bet no Pahari ever even dreamt of that. Things warmed up and before one knew it Joe Dhillon broke the news that the GOI had banned Tik-tok and many other Chinese apps. So another feather in this group's cap. If you recall, a motion to this effect had been passed some time back after a heated debate with objections by Brother Gurvinder. We could also throw the Chinese out at once if only Murali would stop using his Veto power and agree that they a border intrusion has occurred. The way Nawnit is going steadily and surely towards that end, he is bound to succeed. It is said that sometimes when you constantly battle one enemy, you become like him. Navnit is like that -- a constant stream of announcements, documents, statements and supporting arguments about the Chinese intrusion. But Murali is also like that--- nothing doing till either Modi or Mukesh Ambani say so. Earlier in the day, Nirbhye likened this group to a bus driven by a nut. This  line of thought went on to describe this group as a bunch of nuts and bolts--more nuts than bolts, some of which have dropped along the way.Time to gather the dropped nuts and bolts and enjoy the ride. Saxy's joke on the Boss's secretary was much enjoyed by Somayya. Alfred's posts on a petition to the PM by ex-servicemen and an appeal by a General's wife to avoid war make interesting reading. But if you read through both of these and watch the video-post on Covid by Shiv (58 mins) - not only your whole day is gone but your head also ends up being pickled. There was much discussion on the Thapar family. Earlier in the day, Satbir and Saxy kept the goings -on lively with jokes and witty remarks. Rajbir came up with the telling observation that no regime is perfect, so any criticism on them should be taken in the right spirit. Naithani wrote about how we have to improve our own work culture before being able to compete with/overthrow Chinese goods. Vidur also added that everything should not be viewed from a political angle and hard facts should be acknowledged, no matter whose fault. PK Sharma's joke about the parrot in the freezer is worth going through. Pratap Ghosh posted a list of traffic signals with cameras installed---those in the capital city may note .In case you do not know about the Spanish Flu, dada has provided no less than 14 photos on it. Uttam Sarkar's joke about the sardar running away from the ticket checkers even though he had a ticket is hilarious.

Those who missed the last webinar on the leadership series can watch the video posted by SBT. Part -3 of the Old Monk saga was released by Arun in the wee hours, do read and get yourself updated on the subject. Sukhi posted a latenight joke for Adults only.Tips from psychologists to tackle the Covid situation posted by Satish is a must-read.I almost left out Pandit Tripathi's video-posts on the Chinese situation and Anil Ambani..Please do go through and let us all know if there are any new angles to this much discussed subject. There is also a video-post by Sanjay Mishra in which Kumar Vishwas questions Modi about acche din. Tip of the day: Just take out 10 mins and listen to Hitopadesh, posted at 17.22 hrs - pearls of practical wisdom as compared to bucket loads of  theoretical knowledge You will feel much more at peace with yourself and the world--guaranteed.

Enjoy your Tuesday.
