The Daily Observer: 28th June 2020

😎THE DAILY OBSERVER-25: 28 June 2020 / 03:19😎

Today's Event :- Leadership series Webinar at 1800 hrs. courtesy SBT.

Navnit enrols in  college for a Law Course was the Breaking News on Saturday. We wish him success in this latest venture with the hope that it leads to PILs for the needy and not just extra-large sermons in WA University. Katoch mentioned some events like that during OTA days when Navnit sermonised generously with Amarjit in attendance. Look forward to someone from Kohima to shed some light on that. Just imagine----Alexander the great before beginning his latest campaign asks his O Group - any doubts ? And someone answers-- "Do you remember the time when you were two years old and could not stop wailing when someone took away your favorite rattler"? The great fellow's career might well have ended then and there. After two days of ensuring that chatter on this site proceeds along safer lanes, Satbir seems to have taken a day off.Nothing like a good laugh to start Sunday.Go straight to Nirbhye's message at around 0130 hrs (last one of the day) and see for yourself the meaning of a collection of more than one Kashmiri/Haryanvi, Tamilian/Mallu. Nripendra Singh Rathore aka Nippy started Saturday with a cartoon of a dog peeing on posts as he took a walk.

Ganesh Athley posted an English vocabulary wheel which can serve as a ready reckoner for those interested in English writing. Bharath Bhushan put on display the latest new improved version of his profile which attracted mixed comments ranging from leg pulling to commendations.Rajeshwar Sirohi chose to deliver his morning message at around 1015 hrs. Kadam's Nike dukan is good for a haircut. Sanjay Mishra's photo of Bhrama Kamal was immediately recognized by Ramu and we got to see the Himalayan version of this lovely flower too. S Murali broke his radio silence in the afternoon with a reply in Mandarin to Vidur's post. Possibility of quakes in China now? Vidur has not taken lightly the Nepalese change of maps and questions old man Oli's relationship with the enchanting Chinese envoy to Nepal. Satish posted an old classic Noor Jehan song appreciated by Shiv. And then Shiv broke into verse and song, what to talk of the locust attack in NCR. Shiv also threw in -"I just called to say I love you" for good measure. Luthra asked Rajbir some genuine doubts on religion and these were addressed very well by Rajbir later in the day. Naithani and Chandan Das added their enlightened views on theism and monotheism. Alfred logged in in the evening and remarked how difficult it is to go through so many messages in one go. You can imagine the plight of our overseas participants and of those who are busy professionally! Vish joined in for a moment and appreciated Bharat Bhushan's photo. SBT posted jokes and photos periodically till closure time. Pratap Ghosh spoke of a mysterious sound from another  galaxy - as if we do not have enough trouble deciphering sounds from our own galaxy. I scrolled down to the end of this rather long article and found  a Bengali lady's name - so that probably explains Ghoshda's sudden interest in such matters. Umar's post on "True Story of the Army" was well received and liked. Sawant posted a video at 23.29 hrs that reminded one of the name given to him by our room - ch**u. Katoch finally clarified that he had only been pulling Navnit's leg regarding moral lectures and wished him well in the legal profession. Navnit could at last peacefully go to sleep. SBT recalled Navnit's photo in flowing velvet gown distributing degrees to law graduates in Army Law School.

Alfred remembered Sam Manekshaw on his death anniversary by posting a video featuring the great man himself. SBT has done a great service by setting up a Course web-site single handedly and updating it from time to time.He has also uploaded all editions of the TDO. I am trying to do that from now on. But please visit the website and get your personal details updated. e.g. At a cursory glance, I think i saw Sen's name against Athley's photo. Just kidding, enjoy your Sunday.
