Blog for Batch of SS-33 / Tech.-24 of Officers Training Acadamy

The course Sprit

It was on 13th March 1982 that SS-33 / Tech. 24 course of Short Service Officers was passed out at Officers Training Academy. We have moved in our lives since then. Some of us are no more in the Army any many of us on the verge of leaving.

Those who are not in army are of two categories – those who had not opted for permanent commission or could not be considered for some reasons and those who left after extensions or after getting permanent commission. This category is by now well settled in their respective fields in civil life and few of them have done pretty well. Those still in army are Brigadiers and full Colonel! Depending on their chances for career progression majority of them will be leaving army any time soon!

We have come a long way from the times we spent as Gentleman Cadets in the OTA, yet our bonding with course mates is strong as ever. We have aged but camaraderie and esprit-de-corps is still very strong. We need to remember that war cry of ‘Three Musketeers”, “One for All and All for one!”.
